About Us
The Trivandrum Chapter of the Alumni Association of St Thomas College, Kozhencherry was formed with the vision of bringing together former students residing in and around Thiruvananthapuram, fostering fellowship, networking, and meaningful engagement with the Alma mater.
The first meeting to organize the Chapter was held on 26th March 2011, at the residence of late M T Philip, marking the beginning of a vibrant alumni movement in the capital city. A small gathering of 30 alumni reflected the shared commitment of alumni to strengthen bonds of friendship, uphold the rich traditions of the College, and contribute positively to society. An organizing committee was formed with Dr Rajan Varghese, President, Mr M T Philip, Secretary and Mr Mathew Samuel Treasurer.
Inauguration of the Trivandrum Chapter.
The Chapter was officially inaugurated on June 11th, 2011 at JMM Study Centre, Mannanthala by the then the then Mayor of Trivandrum Corporation Adv. K Chandrika. It was a proud and prestigious moment for the chapter, as the Mayor was an alumnus of St Thomas College Kozhencherry. Mr C P Nair IAS, former Chief Secretary and a faculty of our college, Prof M J Koshy and Prof Mathew John were also present on the occasion.
Since its inception, the Trivandrum Chapter has served as a platform for interaction, collaboration, and service. Through regular meetings, social gatherings, and charitable initiatives, the Chapter continues to uphold the values of academic excellence, integrity, and community spirit instilled by St Thomas College, Kozhencherry.
10th Annual Get-together
The Trivandrum Chapter proudly celebrated its 10th Annual Get-together last year, (May 3rd 2025), witnessing the vibrant presence of numerous alumni along with their families. The highlight of the occasion was the release of a the Souvenir ‘Ormapookkal’ by Dr K Jayakumar IAS who graciously inaugurated the Get-together. Sri T M Mathew, President of the Chapter presided over the function. The Get-together was greatly enriched by the distinguished alumni leaders – Dr T K A Nair IAS, Adv. K Chandrika, Mr Victor T Thomas- whose participation was a genuine blessing to the gathering.
Today, the Chapter stands as a testimony to the enduring legacy of the institution and the strong sense of belonging among its alumni. Guided by the proud and dedicated leadership of the following Executive Committee, the Chapter continues to function in its fullness, achieving milestones and serving with commitment and integrity.
